歯の聖女アポローニア Saint of Teeth Appolonia
今からおよそ1700年前、エジプトのアレキサンドリアという小さな村に、アポローニアという名前の、 ある日、かわいそうにアポローニアは処刑場に引き出されてしまいました。 |
This is a story, which happened in the village of Alexandria in the land of Egypt 1700 years ago. At that time here lived a gentle girl with beautiful teeth in the village of Alexandria. Her name was Appolonia. She really loved and took cared for nature and animals. In the year 249, when Decias became Emperor of Rome, Appolonia of Alexandria had grown into a beautiful woman. Soon Dicius made it as far as the peaceful village. The soldiers flooded in capturing all the villagers who believed in Christianity, including Appolonia. They were taken to the castle far away. The crowd watched as Appolonia was taken inside the arena and made stand on a platform in the center. The soldiers then yanked out her beautiful teeth from her gums, using a hammer and chisel. …………………・. Death by torture, enlisted Appolonia among the Christian martyrs who all died for their belief. Many people believed in her. Later she was enshrined as SAINT APPOLONIA in the biggest church in the land. Those with toothache and severe pain got instant relief when they visited her. Mysteriously the pain would leave and the swelling would go down as they prayed and say Saint Appolonia on three times. |
